The Night Sky app
The last year I had a huge interest in space exploration and in particular the research done on the ISS (International Space Station), much thanks to one commander of the ISS, the Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield.
Chris had many inspiring YouTube videos and tweets during his stay on the ISS, check them out if you are interested.
That new interest of mine was the reason for my search after interesting apps to learn more about space and found the Night Sky app on the App Store.
The app let’s you point the phone to the sky and show you what stars, planets and other objects is in the direction you hold the phone. It works great and is very cool!
If you click on some object on the screen a new view shows up with more information about the object, whether it is a planet, moon, star or satellite.
You can also search for a specific object if you want to know where it is located on the sky.
So if you one night is wondering what that very bright star is on the sky just point your phone to the sky and find out and enjoy the night sky even if you can’t do it from the moon! Thanks for reading!
